Safely Home School is the educational component of the Safely Home Residential Treatment Program. The school assists in fulfilling the Agency's mission of providing day-treatment programs for children with histories of neglect, trauma, and abuse. The Safely Home School provides programs with a synthesis of therapeutic interventions and re-education of prosocial skills for the remediation of past problems and prevention of future ones.

Safely Home School is a Specialized Education Program for children who have been identified as having an educational handicap or are presenting home, school or community behavior problems. The school's primary focus is the remediation of aggression by addressing problems both therapeutically and behaviorally. Prosocial skills are taught and modeled to develop alternative behavior patterns that are more conducive to family and community participation. Classroom instruction and therapies are provided by certified Severe Behavior Handicap Teachers, Licensed Independent Social Workers, and Non-tax Certified Teachers. The teacher/student ratio is 1:5 to preserve the necessity for individualized behavior programs with the students. The school recruits and admits students of any race, color, gender, or ethnic origin to all its rights, privileges, programs and activities.

Safely Home School believes in rigorous standards, both behaviorally and academically, to achieve the outcomes necessary for future success. The Specialized Education Program she provide to all students an adaptive, flexible, and nurturing environment which encourages and challenges them to become independent, employable and involved members of a community. The program focuses on social skills, behavior management techniques, employability skills, and independent living skills, which help students to be successful.

Safely Home School has six goals it continually pursues. The first is to assist students in attaining academic core knowledge and skills. The second encourages students to be life-long learners. The third stabilizes student's behaviors, so they are consistent with acceptable legal, social and moral norms. The fourth provides students with an appropriate classroom structure for the remediation of their behavioral needs. The fifth develops students behavior management techniques to enable them to solve their problems, live and work independently, and be accepted by others. Lastly, the program strengthens the trust and confidence of students by providing them with a positive support system within the school and community.
